People with dry skins are needed to take care of their skin during winter. The dry skin would worsen more due to the chill climate. Wash the skin at least twice a day to remove the dirt from it and use an oil based moisturizer for dry skin to get soft and healthy skin.
Apply a good sunscreen lotion and moisturizer to the skin before stepping out.
Do not use hard soaps and avoid hot water baths. Use cleansing lotion after bath to protect the natural oils in the skin.
Massage the skin with olive oil in upward movements. Then apply a collagen cream to the skin regularly. Follow this at least once in a week.
To moisturize the skin naturally, include omega3 rich foods in the diet and drink two liters of water daily.

 Use face pack (home made) once a week to cleanse your skin. Let‘s see its benefits:

2.    It will keep the skin hydrated by restoring its water content, which results in soft and supple skin.

How to choose the face packs suitable for the skin?
Face pack for dry skin:
 Because of insufficient sebum production in skin, causes it to flake and look dull. Also the dry skin feels tight and rough, particularly after cleansing. To remove the dryness and dullness, choose the face pack with cucumber, apple or papaya. It will lighten the blemishes and give bright look.

Face pack for oil skin:
 Because of excessive sebum production, it causes to look the skin a greasy shine and leads to breakouts. Blackheads and whiteheads are dominant here. Use multhani metti, egg white, tomato or potato as face pack. It will absorb the excessive oils and remove the deep impurities.

Tomato tips for skin

• Take few tablespoons of tomato juice and add few drops of lime juice. Massage this mixture on the face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then wash it off with cool water. This treatment will shrink the big pores and prevents the skin from infection.
• To get a good glowing skin, mix fresh tomato juice with few drops of honey. Gently apply this mixture on the sun exposed areas such as face, neck, etc. Wash it off with cold water after few minutes. Do it twice in a week to get smooth skin.

• For oily skin, mix equal ratios of tomato and cucumber juice. Apply this and leave it for 20 minutes. Then wash it off with lukewarm water. This will prevent the skin from additional oiliness.
• Being rich in vitamins, tomatoes are used to cure acnes on the skin. Cut a tomato and rub it on the skin to get rid off from acnes and to get great glow.
• Take few tablespoons of fresh tomato juice and mix it with a small quantity of yogurt. Apply this mixture on the skin to prevent and to cure the burns.

1. Don't eat fatty foods as it give dullness and ageing effect to the skin.

Essential home beauty tips

* Apply a paste of honey and avocado (butter fruit) and wash the face with cold water after 15 minutes.

* For dry skin, apply a mixture of mashed banana, yogurt and few drops of honey.

* To avoid the skin from getting flaky, apply the moisturizer mixed with sunscreen.


* Apply pure sandal powder with jasmine juice on the face to remove the dullness due to sun.

* Put some jasmine flowers in hot water for some time. After it gets cooled, wash the face with it to remove the dead cells.

Simple remedies for blackheads:

* A good home remedy to stop the blackheads is to apply a paste of cinnamon and lemon juice.

* Prepare a mixture with cucumber and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Apply this mixture on the face to get smooth skin and also to prevent the blackheads.

 * Pulp pf grapes can also be applied to remove the blackheads. Wash the face with warm water after 20 minutes.

* To prevent blackheads, apply a face mask with egg white and 1 tablespoon of honey.

* Make a paste with dry jasmine flowers, 4-5 cloves and ½ tablespoon of pure sandal powder. Apply this as a face pack to remove the blackheads and black spots.
