General home tips for beauty

The skin is often clogged with dust, pollution and make-up. So proper care is important for a healthy looking skin. Basic steps to follow:-
1. Wash the face with lukewarm water to open the pores and allow cleansing after that. Splash some cold water to close the pores.
2. Milk and curd can be applied often to the skin. Lactic acid present in milk has anti aging properties that aids shedding of dead skin cells and helps hydrate the skin for a rejuvenate look.
3. The cold milk compress also helps to cool the skin immediately after any sun burn.
4. But the milk products are not good for oily or acne-prone skin. For oily skin freshly grinded sandalwood paste which is a good substitute for milk.5. Good natural cleansing agents for the skin include besan (gram flour) and oatmeal. Make a smooth paste of either in water, gently apply it on the skin and wash after 20 minutes.
6. Other natural beauty aids include cucumber juice for dark circle around the eyes and papaya, strawberry and grape pulp for toning the skin
7. Almond based home made face packets can be used to get perfect blemish free skin. Also eat a hand of almonds whenever hunger between meals.

Essential vitamins needs to pamper the skin:
Vitamin A: It penetrates skin to increase collagen production, eventually smoothing lines. It makes the skin more elastic. Too much or too little vitamin A may lead to rough and dry skin. Egg and dairy products are the sources of Vitamin A.

Vitamin B: It helps the skin from toxins and decreases brown blotches. It regulates the oil secretion and prevents the skin from dermatitis. It helps to relieve the irritation that can be a side effect of vitamin A creams. Banana, meat, fish are the best sources of Vitamin B.

Vitamin C: It can stimulate collagen to help build up the skin and smooth lines. It would be better it applied at night. Cabbage, citrus fruits, melons are the good sources of it.
Vitamin E: It blocks the cancer causing effects of UV light and slows the production of wrinkles. It moisturizes the skin and helps to heal burns and inflammation. It also enhances the efficiency of sunscreen, decreasing redness and swelling after sun exposure. Nuts, green vegetables, vegetable oil contains Vitamin E.

Alpha and beta hydroxy acid (AHA & BHA): Both can be used as to exfoliate the skin. By peeling of the top layer of the dead skin, it gives you a more youthful appearance. It is very effective in treating many common skin concerns like wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, acne and even dry, blistering skin. Sugar canes, malic and tartaric acid in fruits, milk are some of the natural sources.

It is very important that a test should be made with a small patch of the facial skin first to ensure that they do not trouble the skin.

Beauty tips with papaya and saffron

• To avoid pimples and to remove the dark spots left by the pimples grind a papaya and apply it to the face.
• Grind papaya with outer skin and consign it to the face to avoid aging. It is the best anti-aging fruit.
• Grind papaya with a lotus leaf and massage the sun exposed areas with it to get the original skin colour.
• Boil 5 leaves of papaya for 5 minutes and squash it in a bucket of water. Use this while taking head bath to get black and shining hair.
• Cut papaya into very fine pieces. Add vinegar up to the papaya soaks. Close it tightly for 1 week. Apply it on the face with cotton and wash it off after 10 minutes. The face will look bright.
• Apply the following mixture as a face pack for 15 minutes. Grinded papaya (2 pieces), papaya vinegar and one table spoon of honey.
• Home facial tip: - One table spoon each of papaya vinegar and honey and little aloe-vera gel. Mix the above and massage the face with it and wash it off.
• Soak 10 strings of saffron with 4 to 5 pieces of almond whole night. Grind nicely and apply it as a face pack for 15 minutes.
• Take 5 basil leaves and 10 to 15 strings of saffron and grind it very nicely. Put this mixture on the pimples twice weekly. Pimples will go off and never come again.
• Black spots and black rings on the face can be removed by applying whole knighted soaked, grinded quarter cup off soaked saffron on it.
• Take 2 table spoons of pure milk and 1 table spoon of gram dhal and soak it for whole night. Grind it with 10 strings of saffron and put it on the face. Wash it of after 15 minutes to avoid the dullness on the face.
• Boil pure distilled water and add 10 to 15 strings of saffron and milk powder. Then grind it nicely and place this mix on the face so as to get a charming look.

Nourishing home beauty tips

1. Apply petroleum jelly mixed with few drops of lemon juice to the lips to prevent it from turning darker.
2. Honey can eliminate the skin blemishes. Apply honey mixed with milk, yogurt and ground sesame seeds in equal proportion to get clear complexion.
3. For rash or skin allergy mix Aloe-Vera juice with rose water and apply it on the face and neck .
4. Prepare a paste with a tablespoon of black gram dhal and four almonds soaked in water overnight. Apply it on the face and wash it off after 30 minutes.
5. Hairs on the face can be reduced by applying a mixture of gram flour and turmeric powder.
6. Lemon juice, sunflower oil and sugar can be mixed and apply it to the tanned hands and legs. Leave it for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with cold water.
7. Mix half cup of honey with a bucket of water. Take bath with this to get a beautiful soft skin.
8. To get smooth feet, apply 100grams of gelatin mixed with distilled water for 20 minutes. Then wash the feet with warm water.
9. If the feet contain cracks, dip the feet in lukewarm water mixed with few drops of olive oil and  lemon juice and little salt for 15 minutes. Then use foot scrubber to rub it off.
10. Place the skin of green banana on the closed eyes to prevent the eye pain and eye burn.

Home face tips for shining skin

1. The black spots on the face can be removed by applying the following mixture: 1 tablespoon of smashed cabbage, ½ tablespoon of honey, 2 tsp of milk and small amount of rose water.
2. For oily face, apply butter milk on the face for 15 minutes to remove the oil from the skin.
3. A mixture of honey, yogurt and almond power can be applied on the face for 10 minutes to get awesome glow.
4. Honey, Lemon and Coconut oil can be mixed together to get a good moisturizer for the face and it is good for dry skin.
5. For oily face, apply a mixture of egg white, lemon and green grapes and wash it off after 20 minutes with warm water.6. To remove the black color spots left by the pimples, apply cucumber or potato juice with honey for 10 minutes, and then wash it off.
7. Cut the potato into small pieces, place it on the cotton cloth and keep it in the refrigerator. After it gets cooled, place it on the face and eyes to get the stress-free feel and the bulge skin under the eyes will be reduced.
8. Massage the face with coconut oil before sleeping to prevent aging. Don’t try for oily face.
9. To remove the unwanted hairs on the face, apply a mixture of egg white and cornflour.
10. Black rings under the eyes can be removed by applying a mixture of milk power and rose water for 10 minutes. Remove it with wet clean cloth or wet cotton.

Home beauty tips for all

* To remove the scars left by pimples, apply rice powder with curd and a pinch of turmeric on the scars. Rub gently and wash off with cold water after 10 minutes.

* Apply mint leaves or basil (tulsi) leaves paste to the pimples, it will disappear without scars.

* Soak dry grapes in water (5-10) every night. Drink this water in the empty stomach in every morning. This helps to purify the blood, so the face looks brighter.

* Take head bath regularly once or twice in a week. Because if the hair is not washed properly or if it contains dandruff, it makes the face to appear dull and it also invites pimples to appear.

* To remove dandruff, soak Fenugreek (methi) in milk for whole night, grind it and then apply it on the head and wash it off after 15 minutes.
* Apply honey on the face for 10- 15 minutes, and then wash with lukewarm water. This will keep the skin supple and fresh looking.

* Rinse the hair with warm water added with 2 spoons of honey. This adds sheen to the hair.

* Always apply sunscreen for 20 minutes before stepping out to prevent wrinkles in the face.

* Diet with rich Vitamins, avoiding the smoke, in taking plenty of water are some of the ways to avoid the wrinkles under the eyes.

* Add a pinch of turmeric powder to orange juice; apply this mixture to the face and neck. It works as a good exfoliate and the dead cells of the skin will be removed.

Glowing home face tips

* Slightly boil the pure water with any gold jewel like ring, bangle etc and apply this water on the face with cotton.

* Apply ice cubes on the face, first in clockwise direction and then anti clockwise for 5-10 minutes twice in a month.

* Use cotton to scrub the face with unboiled milk daily to get bright look.

* Pour pure water in an utensil, put Neem leaves and a bit of turmeric, then boil it until the steam forms. Then show the face to the steam and wash it with cold water.

* Cut the potatoes and allow it to dry in the sun. Then make into a fine powder, apply it on the face, neck and hand (sun exposed body parts) and wash after 30 minutes to avoid the skin dullness.

* Mix besan with crud, lemon juice and a little turmeric. Apply this mixture on the exposed areas of the body and wash it off after half an hour.

* Scrub the face with rice powder and curd. This acts as a face polish to get better glow.

* Once daily, at any time mix 1 spoon of honey and lemon juice and apply it on the face. Wash it off with pure water after 15 minutes.

* Mix 3 spoons of oats with 1 spoon each of honey, curd, lemon juice or egg white. Apply on the entire face, avoiding the lips and the area around eyes. Then wash it off after half an hour.
* After the face got steamed with pure water, apply ice cubes on it to get rid off the dirt.

* To avoid the rashes in the face during summer, apply pure sandal with rose water. This will keep the body cool.

* To remove the black rings under the eyes, place potato or cucumber pieces on the closed eyes for 10-15 minutes. Also sleep properly to avoid it.

* To avoid the dryness of the face during winter, put banana or papaya face pack with milk. Aloe Vera can also remove the dryness from the face.

* A mixture of besan, lemon juice, sugar and milk removes the dead cells (black heads) on the nose.

* If the neck seem to be dark, the apply lemon juice with milk to retain the original skin colour.

1. Try to intake the unprocessed food like fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

1. Eat balanced diet everyday. Include more fruits and vegetables to have natural beauty. Enough Vitamins and Minerals are more important for good skin.

2. Sleeping plays a vital role in maintain good beauty. Lack of sleeping causes wrinkles and breakouts on the face.

3. Drink plenty of water and wash your face with cool water at regular intervals. This will keep the face always fresh.
